What's New with My Subject?

Still waiting on the kit to arrive. Working on cleaning up the shop a bit.
2/4/03. Kit has arrived and it looks GREAT!!!!!!! Mace outdid himself on this one!

It has begun! Started building this weekend and will have photos up soon. So far it looks great!!!!

Fuse left side framed and planked. Framing photos on photo page. Will have planked shots soon!

Right side added and stab framed up this weekend. Photos coming soon!

This weekend I got most of the right side planked. It really looks like a B-17 now! Still working on getting the stab to fit and taking some photos.

4/1/03 Well got back from a work trip Mon night and got some photos up. Still waiting for the tail wheel retract to arrive and for the glass parts from Don Smith. I can't finish planking until that is in and the stab is mounted with the rudder and elevators hinged and mounted as once I seal it up, I can't really get back in there without cutting a hatch. So that is next.


4/6/03 Well, the tail wheel set up has arrived and been installed. What a job getting that in there!!!! Photos should be up by Tues. That was about all that got done this weekend.

5/7/03 At last I got the horizontal stab to fit in place! Going to work on the wing this week and will have some new photos up. Also heard from Brett Threlkeld son of Mercer Threlkeld who is in the crew photo I have up. Always so good to hear from people that have a personal connection with Heavy Date!!

5/15/03 At this time the nacelles and the center section of the right wing are all framed up. Photos soon and I hope to get the left wing done this weekend as well!

Ordered the main wheels and brakes. .00! But wait till you see them!!!!!!!
